Every year thousands join together and walk to raise funds and awareness for those affected by HIV and AIDS. In addition to being one of the largest civic events in the Crescent City, this event serves as a venue to provide educational information to almost 4000 individuals who attend the WALK. The WALK continues to grow with the largest crowd attending the 2012 WALK since Katrina! Since 1989, the WALK has raised over $4 million dollars to educate our community about HIV/AIDS and provide supportive services.
